Why can I only replay songs for 40 seconds?
We’d rather you support artists by purchasing their music than searching and illegally acquiring their music. The 40 second limit is to prevent you from stealing tracks.
What happens to the names of my tracks when I upload a zip file?
Be sure to name your mp3 files the exact names of the songs as you want them to appear. Livestew will use mp3 file names without the ".mp3" extension as your song titles.
Can anyone download my music?
Actually no one can download your music. Livestew is a mediator between you and your fans. For instance if someone clicks the "buy" button we send an email from the potential buyer to you.
Can I sell my music on Livestew?
If a listener clicks the "buy" button we send an email from the potential buyer to you notifying you that a listener wants to purchase your music. That email will contain their contact info and a way to request payment from them. It is 100% your responsibility to email the listener an mp3 file after receiving payment. If you accept payment from a listener and do not send them an mp3 file in return you will be blacklisted and no longer able to post your music. If your not sure how to email an mp3 we’ll be posting a tutorial on how to do that soon.
Can I post music for more than one band?
Yes, but you’ll need a different email address for each band you upload music for.
